Installing and activating our plugins is a simple process. To use our plugins, all you need is iLok License Manager installed on your computer. You do not need the iLok USB device. 

Instructions for trial activation

  • Create a free iLok account.
  • Download and install iLok License Manager. 
  • Log in to your iLok account in iLok License Manager. 
  • Run through the plugin installer. Make sure you install the plugin formats you require.
  • Re-scan the plugins in your DAW, sometime it needs to clean caches.
  • When running the plug-ins for the first time, click the "TRY" button and follow the on-screen steps to begin your 14-day free trial. 

You do not need to enter a license code for a free trial. A trial code is deposited to your iLok account automatically by going through the "ACTIVATE" and "TRY" buttons at the bottom.

 

Instructions for purchased plug-in

Note that Aurora DSP and iLok are different accounts. To get a full license for any of our products, go to our website, click on a plug-in you want, select "add to cart" and complete the steps for purchasing. After the checkout, the redeem code will be send to your email address.
  • Go to the iLok License Manager application and click on the ALL LICENSES tab on top.
  • Right-click on the license and select "activate". Choose either your Computer or iLok USB dongle as location. 
  • Install the Plugin by running the installer.
  • Run the standalone application or use the plug-in within your DAW.
You don't need an iLok USB dongle to use our products since you can activate the plugins directly on your computers.
 

Trial to Full License

To get a full license for any of our products, go to our website, click on a plug-in you want, select "add to cart" and complete the steps for purchasing. 
  • Go to the iLok License Manager application and click on the ALL LICENSES tab on top.
  • If your trial isn't expired yet, right-click on it and select "deactivate".
  • Then, right-click on the full license and select "activate". Choose either your Computer or iLok USB dongle as location. 
  • Install the Plugin by running the installer.
  • Run the standalone application or use the plug-in within your DAW.
Since demos and full products are the same software, you don't need to uninstall or reinstall anything.
 

Activation in multiple devices

If you want to activate your licenses on multiple devices, follow the following steps:
  • Install and open iLok License Manager application on your computers.
  • Login with your iLok account.
  • Go to the "All Licenses" tab (View > Available Licenses).
  • Right-click over your licenses and select "Activate".
  • Then select your current computer or iLok dongle as location.
Note you can activate your plugins on 2 different computers at the same time as long as you're using the same iLok account in all of them.

You can also deactivate it from computers you won't use anymore and transfer the activations to other devices. This process can be repeated indefinitely.
