Why this product
Analogue Ironheart character, mapped into a complete digital rig
The official Laney collaboration retains the three-channel amplifier behaviour and extends it with the pedals, cabinets and post-processing required for a complete session.
The story
Laney and Aurora DSP, working from the hardware outward
For the first time in Laney history, the company partnered with Aurora DSP to bring the Black Country Customs Ironheart tube tones into a digital workflow. The plugin includes the tones and features of the renowned analogue versions, then adds two meticulously recreated BCC pedals, two Laney cabinets with microphone choices and a focused suite of studio effects.
Our project partners, AURORA, have beautifuly mapped the topology of our brand new IRONHEARTs and encapsulated them into digital form, providing a fully operational DSP version that can be used either as a standalone tone machine, or seamlessly integrated with your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).

Three-channel Ironheart preamp
Move between clean, rhythm and lead channels, with the Dynamics, Tone, Reverb and Watts output controls that define the Ironheart range.
Black Country Customs front end

Cabinet and studio finishing path
Choose two Laney cabinets and microphone models, load an external IR, add AIR and IRDX, then finish the sound with EQ, limiting, delay and reverb.

Inside the product
Four stages, arranged in signal-path order
Every original Ironheart chapter remains present, but the visual hierarchy keeps the complete rig readable instead of stretching it into disconnected full-screen blocks.
01
Black Country Customs
Monolith distortion and Steelpark clean boost shape the front end before the amplifier.
02
The Heart
Clean, rhythm and lead channels carry the responsive Ironheart amplifier behaviour.
03
The Stack
Two Laney cabinets, microphone choices, external IR loading, AIR and IRDX form the cabinet stage.
04
Aurora DSP Rack
EQ, limiting, delay, reverb and the final Graphic Output EQ prepare the guitar for the mix.
Choose the front end
Both pedals are fully controllable digital recreations, ready to add distortion or a clean push before the Ironheart preamp.
BCC Monolith distortion
Dial in the amount of distortion before the amplifier while retaining the interaction and control expected from the Black Country Customs pedal.
Compare the hardware construction with the topology view that informed Aurora DSP’s digital implementation.

The topology behind the DSP version
The visual map shows the amplifier structure Aurora DSP translated into the responsive plug-in model.
10-band EQ
Adjust the gain by −12 to +12 dB across the most important guitar frequency ranges.
Limiter
Control the complete signal and use the additional 100–250 Hz limiter for focused low-end management.
Three-mode delay
Choose classic analogue, slapback or digital ping-pong delay, with project-BPM sync also available in standalone.
Aurora Reverb
Move from compact rooms to deliberately extended spaces with a small, immediate control set.
Laney × Aurora DSP
Two Laney cabinets, microphone choice and IRDX
Choose the LA412 or GS412-inspired cabinet path, position the tone with multiple microphone models, load an external impulse response and add presence with AIR. Bogren Digital IRDX reconstructs dynamic speaker behaviour so a static response reacts and sits in a mix more like a real cabinet.
The complete 10-band EQ, dual low-end-aware limiting, three-mode tempo-synchronised delay and versatile Aurora Reverb remain together after the amplifier and cabinet stages.
Laney × Aurora DSP
Graphic Output EQ for final mix control
The animated final-stage equalizer keeps the last tonal decision visible before the signal leaves the Ironheart rig.
